Three ways to Create a Direct Service Session

A Direct Service Session can be started (3) different ways. Click on:

  1. 'Begin New Session' from the side menu
  2. 'Begin Session with Client' from the Client profile
  3. 'Start Session' from the User Dashboard.


‘Begin a New Session’ from the side menu (Task Bar)

Begin Session

When you click on Begin New Session from the Task bar you will start your session with the client. 
When opening a form in this manner you are starting a session without choosing your client first. Therefore you will need to know how to add clients to this session.


However if the client is new to OCMS you will not be able to add a new client from here and would need to start over again registering the client first.


‘Begin Session with Client’ from the Client Profile

Start by clicking Find a Client/Activity type in your clients name and click find.  Click on Profile and scroll to the bottom of the page to select Begin Session with Client.  From here you will fill in your session form.


‘Start Session’ from the User Dashboard

Start by clicking Find a Client/Activity type in your clients name and click find.  Click on Dashboard and to select Begin Session.  From here you will fill in your session form.
