How to Clear Your Browser's Cache

Solution

What is Cache, and why do I need to clear it?

Your internet browser's cache stores certain information (snapshots) of webpages you visit on your computer or mobile device so that they'll load more quickly upon future visits and while navigating through websites that use the same images on multiple pages so that you do not download the same image multiple times.

Internet cache can threaten your privacy as everyone who has access to your computer can see some personal information by simply opening the cache folder.  Also when the cache fills up, performance can slow down and your hard drive may run out of space.

Occasionally, however your cache can prevent you from seeing updated content, or cause functional problems when stored content conflicts with live content. You can fix many browser problems simply by clearing your cache.

If you are still having problems with OCMS after clearing your Cache:

Please check your Internet speed - Ideally, you would be at 60 MB down and 10 MB up. To check your speed please use SpeedTest.Net

NOTE: If you cannot access the Internet Options dialog box or the General tab, an administrator from your office might have customized the settings for your Temporary Internet Files folder to prevent you from changing the settings. For example, the administrator can remove the General tab from the interface in the Internet Options dialog box.  Contact your agencies technical support for more information.
